Snazaroo can be used in a number of different ways.

Bat

Step 1

Using a damp sponge with blue paint, apply the shape of the bat’s wings around the eyes.

Step 2

With a brush and using black, outline the wings and add sharp edges to the bottom. Add the bat’s head.

Step 3

Using white paint and a brush, give more definition to the wings as well as adding a large semi-circle above the wing. Then with black, create a smaller bat in the white semi-circle. Finally with white, add spaces for eyes to the main bat. Once this is done, add red dots for a finishing touch.

Cave Monster

Step 1

Using a damp sponge apply bright green paint to the middle of the face, starting from above the eyebrows and down to the top of the lip avoiding the eye area. With a brush create a curved outline to the top of the mask and a spiked outline on the cheeks.

Step 2

With white paint and a brush, paint two spikes on either side of the forehead, and fangs on either side of the mouth.

Step 3

With the tip of a brush add purple dots to the cheeks and the forehead. Using black paint outline the mask, spikes and fangs. Paint black above each nostril, and outline the nose. Finally, add crease lines to nose and forehead. Not suitable for use around the eyes and lips.

Dark Angel

Step 1

Using a damp sponge, apply sparkle blue over the face in two wing shapes, being careful to avoid the eye area.

Step 2

Using a damp sponge, apply silver within the wings to create a two-tone effect.

Step 3

With black paint and a brush outline the wing shapes creating ‘dragon’ wings. Using a ‘cross hatch’ effect, add detail. Highlight the wings with white paint and a fine brush. To finish, use the tip of the brush to add three dots on either side of the nose. Not suitable for use around the eyes and lips.

Devil

Step 1

Using a brush, outline the upper eye line with White paint, exaggerating the corners. Then add two upside down triangles at either side of the bottom lip to create "fangs".

Step 2

Then, using a brush, sweep Bright Red paint across the eyelid, curling the ends up over the eyebrows Paint the lips in the same colour.Using Orange paint, draw a line from the inner corner of the eye to the centre of the cheek, on each side.

Step 3

To finish, create eyebrows, sideburns and a goatee beard with Black paint using dramatic strokes.

Dracula

Step 1

Using a damp sponge, cover the whole face with a base coat of Light Grey. Mix a darker grey by adding a little Black to the Light Grey and sponge on the dark patches around and above the eyes, on the side of the nose and on the cheeks and chin.

Step 2

Add the detailing with a brush. First using White paint, then using Black paint, draw thin lines from the corner of the eyes, on the upper cheeks under the eyes and on the lower cheeks from the corner of the nose. With White paint, add fangs at each corner of the mouth, and outline with Black. Using Black, draw on exaggerated eyebrows on the forehead.

Step 3

Using Red paint, draw a thin line under each eye, paint the bottom lip and add drips of blood from the fangs.

Pumpkin

Step 1

Using a damp sponge and Orange paint, apply a base coat over the whole face, leaving a clear area in the top corner of the forehead.

Step 2

With Dark Green paint and the brush, draw on the stem of the pumpkin in the clear area, adding wiggly lines as leaves.

Step 3

Using Black paint and the brush, draw lines down the face to make the creases on the pumpkin skin.

Sugar Skull

Step 1

Using a damp sponge and white paint, apply a base coat over the whole face being careful not to get any in the eyes.

Step 2

With the black face paint, create a circle around each eye. Then add an upside-down heart shape as your skeleton nose.

Step 3

Next, line the inside of your lips where they meet, then add approx. seven vertical strokes, starting in the center then working your way out. Sponge on a little shading under each cheekbone and then define with a black line on either side.

Step 4

Finally, Add a heart with red paint on your forehead. Have fun with the design and feel free to add your own finishing touches like we did with yellow paint. Glitter and crystals add extra ‘wow.’

Vampire

Step 1

Using a WHITE face painting stick, draw fangs from each corner of the mouth.Then with a RED face painting stick, add some drips of blood from each fang, carefully paint the lips, and add a line at the outer corner of each eye.

Step 2

Using a BLACK face painting stick, draw exaggerated eyebrows and draw an upturned triangle at the hairline. Carefully outline each fang.

Step 3

Again using a BLACK face painting stick, draw bat shapes on the forehead and cheeks.

Werewolf

Step 1

Using light grey paint and a brush paint a ‘Y’ shape over the nose and roughen the edges to create a fur effect.

Step 2

Using a damp sponge apply light brown paint around the middle of the face, starting from above the eyebrows and down to the top of the lip, avoiding the eye area. Using a brush and the light brown paint create a fur effect around the outside of the face.

Step 3

Paint fangs with white paint on either side of the mouth. Paint black above each nostril, leading to a point above the lip. Using a thin brush outline the entire design with black paint. Not suitable for use around the eyes and lips.

Witch

Step 1

Using a damp sponge, apply a layer of Dark Green paint all over the face as a base, leaving the area around the eyes.

Step 2

Using a brush and Dark Grey paint, fill in the upper eyebrow areas, adding a line of dots over each brow. Add 2 dots on each upper cheek area. Draw a large dot in the centre of the right cheek, this will be the body of the spider.

Step 3

Using Black paint, draw a thick line over each eyebrow adding long lashes rising up between the grey dots. Add a line under each eye and crease lines at the outer corners. On the left cheek, draw a cobweb using fine lines. On the right cheek, complete the spider by outlining the grey dot and adding 3 legs on each side. Paint the lips and add a dot on the end of the nose, just off-centre.

Witches Cat

Step 1

Using a damp sponge, dab on Metallic Silver paint in the shape of a cat's head, with the ears extending up onto the forehead.

Step 2

With Sparkle Lilac paint and the sponge, dab on some patches of colour on the cheeks, the end of the nose and in the centre of the cat's ears, blending carefully into the Silver paint.

Step 3

Using Black paint and the brush, draw a “ fluffy” outline around the whole cat face. Draw cobwebs between the ears and at the corner of the eyes. Paint in large nostrils, a centre line on the top lip, adding dots for whiskers. Paint the lips.

Wizard

Step 1

Using a damp sponge, dab on Royal Blue paint in random shapes across the whole face.

Step 2

With Pale Yellow paint and the sponge, fill in the rest of the face.

Step 3

Using White paint and the brush, draw on star shapes in the blue areas. Using Light Brown paint, draw a broomstick on one cheek.

Zombie

Step 1

Sponge lime green on face leaving a balloon shape area on one side of mouth for teeth.

Step 2

With sponge dab black on eyes blending out & dragging down on cheek area. Sponge balloon shape by mouth with black , as well as the temples , under the cheekbones & under the chin. At top of nostrils create teardrop shape by pressing brush on top of nostril by cheek & pull towards tip of nose to make nostril look bigger.

Step 3

With a brush dab & drag red to create cuts & blood along forehead & down nose. Add blood around the inside of the mouth balloon shape to look like red gums & with loaded brush dab red dripping out of mouth & down neck.

Step 4

With a brush make dabs of white for teeth & paint some Xs over cuts to look like stitches.

Step 5

Using black again on a fine brush outline white stitches & draw a line around ballooned mouth to define it.

Bunny

Step 1

Using a damp sponge, apply White paint on the top part of the face from the top lip up to the eyes, and draw ear shapes onto the forehead. Paint a white patch in the centre of the lower lip.

Step 2

With Bright Pink paint and the edge of the sponge, dab on some patches of colour on the outer edge of the cheeks and ears, and on the end of the nose, blending carefully into the White paint. Paint the remainder of the lower lip, using the brush.

Step 3

Using Black paint and the brush, draw crease lines at the top of the nose and the corner of the eyes. Paint a centre line down the top lip, adding dots & whiskers. Paint the top lip and add a line on the bottom lip to create 2 teeth. Draw a heart outline on the end of the nose.

Butterfly

Step 1

Using a damp sponge, apply sparkle pink over the face in two wing shapes, over and under both eyes. Using a brush paint two small pink flower shapes above one eye, in the gap on the forehead.

Step 2

 With Purple paint, paint around the wings, adding detail. Using purple paint and a brush, paint the body of the butterfly on the top of the nose, adding two flicks on the forehead. Paint a smaller butterfly shape above the eye on the forehead.

Step 3

 Using white paint add dots around the outline of the butterfly with the tip of the brush. Outline the edge of the butterfly with white paint to highlight. Also outline the smaller butterfly and flowers. Finish with lots of silver glitter!Not suitable around the eyes and lips.

Bright Butterfly

Step 1

Using a RED face painting stick, draw the outline of Butterfly wings on each side of the face. Paint the lips.

Step 2

Using a Blue face painting stick, draw the antennae on the forehead and add 3 dots on the nose for the body.

Step 3

Using a GREEN face painting stick, draw an inner line on the top wing over each eye.Then with a YELLOW face painting stick, add 3 dots inside the lower wing on each cheek.

Dalmatian

Step 1

Using a damp sponge and White paint, apply a base coat to the whole face. Make sure the eyes are kept tightly shut.

Step 2

With Black paint and the brush, draw on some patches: around one eye, on the chin, cheeks and forehead. Add an eyebrow over one eye. Paint the nose and mouth, and add whiskers.

Step 3

Using Bright Red paint and the brush, draw on a small tongue hanging out of one corner of the mouth.

Ladybug

Step 1

Using a damp sponge and bright red paint, apply red ovals above the eyes to create the ladybug’s wings.

Step 2

Using a brush, mix black and red paint to paint the ladybug’s body and head. Then with black, paint the legs and symmetrical antennas.

Step 3

Finally, with a brush outline with black above the wings. Then, paint black dots on the wings.

Panda

Step 1

Using a damp sponge apply white paint around the middle of the face, starting from above the eyebrows and down to the top of the lip, avoiding the eye area. Using a brush and the white paint create a fur effect around the outside of the face.

Step 2

 Using a damp sponge carefully dab black paint around each eye area creating black circles. With a brush, paint black ears on either side of the face. Use the same technique as in step 1 to create a fur effect around the eyes and ears.

Step 3

 Using a brush outline the face with black paint. Outline the nose with zigzag lines and paint black above each nostril leading to a point above the lip. Paint a curved line from the corner of the lips leading to the nose and add dots with the tip of the brush. Not suitable around the eyes and lip

Snake

Step 1

Using the blue crayon draw a snake shape down one side of the face, with the head of the snake starting in between the eyes, then over the eyebrow and down the cheek to the tail. Fill in with the same crayon.

Step 2

Using the white crayon draw two eyes on the head of the snake. With the green crayon make segmented shapes within the body of the snake.

Step 3

Using the edge of the black crayon to get a sharp line, outline the snake, the segments and the eyes. Place a black dot in the white of each eye. Finish with a snakes tongue!Not suitable around the eyes and lips.

Sparkle Butterfly

Step 1

Using a damp sponge, dab on Sparkle Lilac paint in the shape of butterfly wings around the eyes and across the cheeks and nose, fading towards the bottom.

Step 2

With Metallic Silver paint and the sponge, dab on the rest of the butterfly wings shape across the cheeks and nose, blending carefully into the Lilac paint.

Step 3

Using Black paint and the brush, draw on decorative swirls around the whole design. Add small petal shapes at the outer corner of each eye and top of the nose.

Step 4

For the finishing touch, add sparkle by using Silver Glitter Gel.

Tiger

Step 1

Using a damp sponge cover the bottom of the face from below the nose to the jaw line, with a yellow base. Then sponge the top of the face with orange paint.

Step 2

Apply the white detailing with a brush. Paint a wide moustache underneath the nose and across the top of the lip. Add two upside down triangles at either side of the bottom lip to create fangs.Then draw white spiky eyebrows above each eye and 3 white strokes at the corner of each eye. Add extra white strokes along the side of the cheek, just above the jaw line. Leave enough space between each line to add in more colour at the final stage.

Step 3

Colour the tip of the nose black and add black strokes to the white eyebrows and at the corner of the eyes. Do the same between the white lines on the jaw line and then at the edge of the mouth and fangs. Finally paint a line from the middle of the nose to the middle of the top lip and add black dots on the white moustache.Finish with 3 whiskers on each side.

Tiger 2

Step 1

Using a WHITE face painting stick, draw pointed eyebrows over each eye, adding 2 lines on the forehead. Draw 3 horizontal lines, overlapping slightly, under the nose on the top lip, then add some well-spaced stripes radiating towards on the edge of the face.

Step 2

Using a BLACK face painting stick, draw a line above each pointed eyebrow, and add a stripe down the centre of the forehead.Paint the end of the nose and bottom lip, adding a thin triangle on the top lip. Add some more stripes to the edge of the face.

Step 3

Using a YELLOW face painting stick, add more stripes around the edge of the face to fill in between the others.

Alien

Step 1

Using a brush outline the face with an alien shape using the lime green paint, making sure the shape goes under the nose and up over the eyebrows. Paint two stems on the forehead with a circle at the top of each stem. Using lime green paint fill in the outline with a damp sponge.

Step 2

 Using a brush paint four bright yellow circles on either side of the face, and a circle on the end of each stem to create ‘alien’ eyes. 

Step 3

 Using a small brush paint a black outline around the alien face and the bright yellow circles. Draw in the eyes and a thin vertical line over each nostril. Using the tip of a brush add white dots on the side of the face, a few movement lines around the ‘alien’ eyes and add a white dot in each eye to finish.Not suitable around the eyes and lips.

Angel

Step 1

Using a damp sponge, apply sparkle blue over the face in two wing shapes. Paint two smaller wing shapes with a brush and white paint over the sparkle blue base, in segments above and below the eye.

Step 2

 Paint a small halo above the bridge of the nose with bright yellow paint. Add bright yellow detail to each of the wing segments.

Step 3

 With a fine brush paint a very small white star on the side of the halo. Outline the halo and the wings with black paint. Add black detail within the wings, creating a feather effect. Not suitable for use around the eyes and lips.

Fairy Princess

Step 1

Using a brush, paint the eyelids with Lilac paint, extending the shape with upwards and downwards flicks at the corners.

Step 2

With Silver paint, cover the eyebrow area and add a line to the side of the Lilac downward flick.

Step 3

Using Bright Pink paint, add in more lines to the side of the eye and paint the lips. Finish off with some Silver Glitter Gel to add some sparkle!

Flower

Step 1

Using a GOLD face painting stick, dab on 3 dots across the forehead and 1 dot in the centre of each cheek.Then with a WHITE face painting stick, draw petals around the centre dot on the forehead.

Step 2

Using a TURQUOISE face painting stick, draw petals around the left hand dot on the forehead, and around the dot on the right hand cheek.

Step 3

Using a PINK face painting stick, draw petals around the remaining dots. Paint the lips.Then using a SILVER face painting stick, add connecting lines between the flowers, with swirls and zigzags.

Flower Mask

Step 1

Load a sponge with sparkle lilac and dab your paint over & around the eyes & the bridge of the nose. Then using pale pink, fill out the rest of the mask shape.

Step 2

With a brush loaded with white make your flowers by placing a dot for the center & touching the tip of the brush to the center & pressing down to create a petal. Do five petals around the center dot to create a flower. Add flowers around the mask leaving some space by the outer corners of the eye.

Step 3

Starting from the outer corner of the eyes do some swirls & teardrops. Add some clusters of dots between flowers on mask for added detail.

Party Girl

Step 1

Using a BLACK face painting stick, draw on swirls coming out from the outer corner of each eye, up onto the forehead and down onto the cheek.

Step 2

Using a WHITE face painting stick, draw a second line following the outside edge of t black one.

Step 3

Using a PINK face painting stick, draw 5 dots in a ̋“V” shape across the forehead. Add a line of 5 dots along the outer edge of the swirls on each cheek. Paint the lips.

Princess

Step 1

Using a WHITE face painting stick, draw on swirls coming out from the top of the nose, out over each eye and down to the outer corner of the eye.

Step 2

Using a SILVER face painting stick, draw a diamond in the centre of the “V” above the nose, and one between the swirls over each eye. Add a swirl from the outer corner of each eye down onto the cheek.

Step 3

Pirate

Step 1

Using Light Brown paint and a brush, paint on bushy eyebrows, a moustache and a small beard along the jaw line and up to the ears.

Step 2

Then with Black paint, put on a second layer over the brown, filling in gaps. Draw an eyepatch over one eye (make sure the child keeps its eye closed) and add the string by drawing a line diagonally across the face.

Step 3

Finally, with Bright Red paint, draw a scar line on one cheek, adding stitch lines across it with Black paint.

Robot

Step 1

Using a TURQUOISE face painting stick, draw the shape of the mask, adding the inner lines as shown.

Step 2

Using a SILVER face painting stick, fill in the area on the forehead and the 2 cheeks.

Step 3

Using a BLACK face painting stick, draw 3 dots down the centre of the forehead area and a line of 3 dots at the tops of each cheek area. Add a small vertical line on the end of the nose.

Soldier

Step 1

Using Light Grey face paint and a brush, begin the first layer of the camouflage pattern by brushing paint on the forehead above the right eye and both cheeks.

Step 2

Then with Grass Green paint, put on the second layer of camouflage. Make sure all colours are well spaced out- try applying to the right side of the face, across the chin, around the left eye and on the forehead.

Step 3

Using Light Brown paint, apply patches of colour to the centre of the face and across the left cheek.Finally, fill in any gaps using the Black paint.

Christmas Tree

Step 1

Using a brush, paint a Christmas tree shape from the forehead down the nose with bright green paint.

Step 2

Using sparkle yellow and a brush, paint a star on the top of the tree. Then with bright red, paint baubles on the tree and a pot on the nose.

Step 3

Using sparkle yellow paint, add detail to the shining star. Outline the edge of the tree, pot and star with black paint. Highlight the tree, shining star and baubles with white paint. Finish with glitter!

Easter Egg

Step 1

Take Snazaroo Pale Yellow on a medium brush and paint six petal shapes on the forehead. Repeat this to create a smaller flower next to it and on one of the cheeks. With the same brush and Pale Yellow, paint an oval egg shape on the opposite cheek. Using the pale green paint a smaller egg shape to one side of the yellow egg, and with Pale Blue paint another egg shape on the other side of the yellow egg. You can decorate these Easter eggs with pastel shades in dots and lines, or get creative!

Step 2

Create a grass effect with Pale Green paint by painting a couple of short and quick flicks under the egg shapes. Next, take White and Black paint and outline the flower and eggs shapes, shadowing the grass and creating swirly lines by the flowers.

Easter Rabbit

Step 1

Using Snazaroo White, paint the outline of the rabbit face. Start around the nose area, taking it up and around the eyes and adding fluffy tufts of hair on the forehead and cheeks.

Step 2

Add two buck rabbit teeth under the lips with the White paint. Using Snazaroo Pale Blue, follow the white shape around the eyes and add a circle on the tip of the nose.

Step 3

Finally, outline everything with Snazaroo Black paint and add three dots above each side of the mouth.

Reindeer Boy

Step 1

Using dark brown paint and a brush, paint a large reindeer shape on the middle of the face, being careful to avoid the eyes. Add thick antlers above the eyebrows.

Step 2

 With black, paint a tuft of hair on the reindeer and two eyes on either side of it's face. Using bright red paint and a brush, paint a red circle on the tip of the nose.

Step 3

 Outline with a fine brush and black paint. Finish by highlighting with white paint.

Reindeer Girl

Step 1

 Using light brown paint and a brush, paint a small reindeer head on the nose and antlers on the forehead. 

Step 2

 With bright green paint and a fine brush, paint swirls around the side of the eyes. Add bright red dots using the tip of the brush around the swirls and paint a red nose on the reindeer. 

Step 3

 Highlight the antlers with white paint and add two eyes to the reindeer. Finish by outlining and adding detail with a fine brush and black paint.

Snow Queen

Step 1

 Using pale blue paint and a brush, paint large shapes over the eyebrows, on the forehead and in between the eyes. Add detail at the corners of the eyes. Ensure pattern is symmetrical.

Step 2

 With royal blue paint and a fine brush, outline all the shapes. Add two fine lines above the eyebrow shapes, leading to the corners of the forehead. 

Step 3

 Highlight all the shapes with white paint. With a fine brush add dots to the lines on the forehead. Add a star on either edge of the eyes and on the forehead. Finish with glitter!

Snowman

Step 1

Using a damp sponge apply pale blue paint all over the face, being careful to avoid the eyes and mouth.

Step 2

Using white paint and a brush, paint two circles in the middle of the face and over the nose, creating a snowman. Paint small white circles around the top half of the face.

Step 3

Using orange paint and a fine brush, paint a small carrot for the snowman's nose, then using bright red, paint a scarf around his neck. With black paint add the top hat, stick arms and dots for his eyes, mouth and buttons. To finish outline in black and highlight hat in white.

USA Flag

Step 1

Using a brush and Sky blue paint, draw a straight line down the centre of the forehead to the middle of the nose and then straight across the left cheek to divide the face into a quarter. Fill in using a damp sponge.

Step 2

With white paint and the brush, paint wide horizontal stripes across the face. Carefully paint some stars on the blue section.

Step 3

With bright red paint and the brush, paint wide horizontal stripes across the face in between the white ones.

No 1 Fan

Step 1

Using a brush and yellow paint, create a hand shape with the pointer finger up.

Step 2

Using a brush and royal blue paint, write #1 Fan on the hand.

Step 3

Finally, with a brush and black paint outline the hand and fingers.

Baseball

Step 1

Using a brush and brown paint, create a bat shape. Using white paint, create a circle.

Step 2

Using a brush and red paint, create the stitching of the baseball.

Step 3

Finally, with a brush and black paint outline the bat and ball.

Basketball

Step 1

Using a damp sponge and orange paint, create a circle on the cheek.

Step 2

Using a brush and black paint, draw an outline around the orange circle. Then, use the brush to create three horizontal lines and one vertical line inside the circle.

Step 3

Finally, with a brush create the net.

Fan Flag

Step 1

Using a brush and white paint, create a thin vertical. Then, add a horizontal triangle at the top.

Step 2

Using a brush and orange paint, write #1 Fan across the triangle.

Step 3

Finally, with a brush and black paint outline the flag and #1 Fan.

Football Fan

Step 1

On one cheek, using light brown and a brush, create the shape of the football. With white, paint the stitching on the ball. Finally, outline it in black.

Step 2

On the other cheek using bright red, create the shape of a foam finger. Add #1 fan in white using a brush.

Step 3

Finally, add eye black with the brush under the eyes.

Soccer

Step 1

Using a sponge and white paint, create a circle on the cheek.

Step 2

Using a brush and black paint, outline the circle. Then create hexagons inside the circle.

Step 3

Finally, with a brush and black paint fill in the center hexagon and outside edges.
